The Author

Sarah Rankin

Sarah Rankin is a native Highlander, now living in Perthshire. She is a passionate advocate of Scottish produce, eating with the rhythm of the seasons and celebrating Scotland’s bountiful larder. She believes that food is love, and that there is no better way to demonstrate that love than by feeding people delicious, simple dishes with the freshest local ingredients.

After becoming a Masterchef finalist in 2022, her first cookbook, Kith: Scottish Seasonal Food for Family and Friends, was published in 2024.  Feast is her second cookbook. She is a regular contributor on BBC Radio Scotland’s Mornings show and a visiting panellist on BBC Radio 4’s The Kitchen Cabinet. She writes food columns for D.C. Thomson & Co., and hosts cookery classes, chef demonstrations and supper clubs.
