We are delighted to announce that Night Train to Odesa by Jen Stout has been longlisted for the Highland Book Prize 2024!

Journalist Jen Stout’s book has already received accolades including the Saltire Society First Book Award and BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week.

This book documents journalist Jen Stout’s experiences reporting from the war in Ukraine, which broke out while she was in Russia. Her writing focuses on the extraordinary impact of this war on the ordinary people of Ukraine, and its empathy has resonated with a huge number of readers since publication in hardback last year.

The Highland Book Prize, established in 2017, celebrates the finest published work that recognises the rich talent, landscape, and cultural diversity of the Scottish Highlands. You can find out more about the fantastic longlist on the Highland Book Prize website.
