The National Library of Scotland want to hear from YOU

The National Library of Scotland will be marking their 100th anniversary in 2025 with an exhibition celebrating the magic of books and the value of libraries right across the country. As part to the celebrations they want to hear from readers about books that have inspired them through life. You can choose a book that first introduced you to the joy of reading. A book that was read to you as a child. Something that you came across later in life that caused you to pause and reflect. Or a treasured book that has been handed down to you through the family.

They have asked that we share their call out and you can leave your message at the link given:

Tell us about the books that INSPIRE you.

From Novels to knitting patterns, children’s books to cookbooks, we want to hear about the books that mean something special to you.

Share your stories now at this NLS link.
