Douglas Skelton discusses A Rattle of Bones in the latest episode of the Birlinn Podcast

In our most recent episode of the Birlinn Podcast, we welcomed Douglas Skelton, author of the acclaimed Rebecca Connolly thriller series, to discuss his latest novel, A Rattle of Bones. He was joined by The Daily Record’s Jane Hamilton in a fascinating discussion about Douglas’ career in journalism, his interest in historical crimes, and what’s next for the Rebecca Connolly series.

A Rattle of Bones is set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, and is a tale of injustice and mystery, and the echo of the past in the present. This is the third novel in the Rebecca Connolly series, following Thunder Bay, which was longlisted for the McIlvanney Prize in 2019, and The Blood is Still, published last spring.
