Celebrating Success Across the List

Over the last few weeks we have been raising a virtual glass to a number of our authors who are enjoying success on the awards front. To the winners, the shortlisted, the longlisted – and the ‘oh so close’ – many congratulations to you all! To summarise their success:

In June, Roseanne Watt was announced as winner of an Eric Gregory Award, 2020 for her debut Poetry collection Moder Dy /Mother Wave AND a Somerset Maugham Award, 2020. Both awards are made by the Society of Authors. And in May, Roseanne was named as a Collective Winner of this year’s Highland Book Prize. The award was made jointly across four shortlisted authors “as a celebration of life, literature and community.”

Patrick Laurie was longlisted for the prestigious Wainwright Prize, 2020 for his widely praised book, Native: Life in a Vanishing Landscape.

Monarch of the Green: Young Tom Morris Pioneer of Modern Golf by Stephen Proctor was shortlisted for the Telegraph Sports Book of the Year Award – Biographies.
