Selecting just 20 key, influential books from the decade would be a little like choosing one’s favourites children – impossible. So instead we have selected a representative spread of books published across the ten years – books that make our hearts sing with pride, each one having made its mark in a different way. Every book shown is simply one of many which could have been included – new and established voices, voices now lost to us and some who, over the ten years, have become very well known. And of course, all books in print are listed on this site.
