Bloody Scotland: Graeme Macrae Burnet

A Touch of the Gothic: Francine Toon, Graeme Macrae Burnet, CD Major

Saturday 19th September – 13:15

Enter the world of the gothic where talented but twisted authors weave mesmerising tales wrapped in the macabre.

McIlvanney Prize winner Francine Toon returns with Bluff, a modern gothic tale set on the ancient and cobblestones of a brooding and claustrophobic Fife coastal town. Graeme Macrae Burnet constructs a gripping narrative about madness, murder and the uncertain nature of the self in the terrific and beguiling Benbecula. A struggling artist’s dream opportunity on a remote Scottish island turns into a living nightmare in CD Major’s chilling novel The Residency.

This event will be chaired by writer and critic Daneet Steffens.
