Performance: Thu 28 Sep – 09:30 UK (45 minutes)

Start your day with a blast of caffeine sweetened by poetry and chat.

Gerda Stevenson is an award-winning writer, actor, director, singer-songwriter, working in theatre, television, radio, film, and opera, throughout Britain and abroad. Her poetry, drama and prose have been widely published, staged, and broadcast. She has written extensively for BBC Radio 4, including original plays and as dramatisations of classic Scottish novels. Her new collection, Tomorrow’s Feast, is a tribute to families everywhere, particularly the next generation, who will inherit the global legacy of climate change, war, and migration.

Iona Lee is a writer of poetry and non-fiction, an artist, illustrator and spoken-word performer from Edinburgh. She is a prominent member of Scotland’s live poetry scene, appearing on radio and television, and reading her work across the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, the Albert Hall and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Iona’s debut collection, Anamnesis, charts her journey into adulthood. These poems reflect on memory, the future and other hauntings. It was shortlisted for an Edwin Morgan Poetry Award.
