Richard Frazer at Wigtown Book Festival
The way to Santiago de Compostela is one of the world’s great pilgrim routes; almost 300,000 people officially complete it every year. Richard Frazer brilliantly tells the story of his own journey in all its ups and downs and considers why putting one foot in front of another can change a life, for the secular and religious alike, in his new book, Travels With a Stick. The author is minister of Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh. He founded and chairs the Grassmarket Community Project, which helps the most vulnerable, and has been influential in the revival of pilgrimage in Scotland.
