Coorie Mini Festival: Mollie Hughes

Coorie is a brand new mini festival of whisky and books. This January and February, The Citizen Bar in Glasgow is bringing you  rare whisky tastings from legendary distilleries, together with some talks from a few of Scotland’s authors, adventurers and artists.

 

Author & Adventurer Mollie Hughes, 31st January, 7.30pm.

One adventurous spirit meets another. Mollie Hughes has scaled Everest, kayaked the world over and is the youngest woman to ski solo to the South Pole.

Featuring a tutored tasting of Laphroaig 10YO, 10YO Sherry Cask and Lore along with a talk from Mollie about her adventures, this promises to be an evening of strong peat and wild places.

About Mollie Hughes:

Mollie Hughes is a world record-breaking sports adventurer, mountaineer, polar explorer and international motivational speaker. In 2017 she broke the world record for becoming the youngest woman to climb both sides of Mount Everest and in 2020 became the youngest woman to ski solo to the South Pole.
