Spend an evening with Polly Pullar, known for her life spent among wildlife with fascinating experiences rehabilitating all manner of wild creatures from red squirrels to hedgehogs. Polly’s delightful nature writing in magazines and books include A Scurry of Squirrels and a Richness of Pinemartens. Renowned for her insights into wildlife and humorous anecdotes, Polly’s talks are both fascinating and informative.
The Horizontal Oak is Polly’s own extraordinary, inspirational story. Written with compassion, humour and optimism, Polly reflects on how her love of the natural world has helped her find the strength to forgive and understand her parents, and to find an equilibrium.
