Alycia Pirmohamed at StAnza Poetry Festival: Round the World Returns Home

Round the World Returns Home event celebrates the important contribution that international poets make to Scottish / UK poetry. Canadian poet Alycia Pirmohamed has made her home in Scotland in recent years, and is one of the co-founders of the Scottish BAME Writers’ Network. His first book, The Promised Land, examines the lives of migrant workers in the United Arab Emirates, while his second collection, High Desert, takes a close look at political exiles during the first and second Red Scares in the USA of the 20th century.
