Alastair McIntosh at Gourock Library for Cop26
Alastair McIntosh will be at Gourock Library on Tuesday 9 November from 5-6.30pm to discuss how to tackle climate change after the UN summit in Glasgow.
It is part of the Eco Exchange series of events being organised by Inverclyde Council’s libraries service, which is also part of the Inverclyde Climate Beacon. The author will be discussing the topic and other issues raised in his latest book, ‘Riders on the Storm’
Councillor Jim Clocherty, depute leader of Inverclyde Council and convener of education and communities, said: “It’s great that we have such a brilliant author like Alastair visiting to discuss such an important topic, the climate emergency.
“The talk is so timely with the COP26 conference ongoing just up the road in Glasgow.
“It’s set to be an extremely informative and thought-provoking event and a unique opportunity for Inverclyde residents to hear first-hand from an author renowned for his work about pressing issues of our time.”
Places for the event are free and on a first-come basis and are available to book on the Eventbrite website at https://bit.ly/2Ystz5M or call 01475 712323.
