Alan Watson Featherstone

Alan Watson Featherstone is an inspirational public speaker, ecologist, nature photographer and writer based in the Findhorn Community in the northeast of Scotland. In 1986 he founded the conservation charity, Trees for Life, which works to restore the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands, and was its executive director for almost 30 years. He has received a number of awards, and has travelled around the world to experience and photograph the world’s trees and forests, with his images having appeared in BBC Wildlife magazine, Time magazine, Encyclopedia Britannica and many other publications.
