Ghillie Başan – SHORTLISTED for THE FOOD WRITERS’ GUILD AWARDS

We are delighted to report that A Taste of the Highlands by Ghillie Başan has been shortlisted for a prestigious Food Writers’ Guild Award, in the International or Regional Cookbook category.

This award covers international or regional cuisines, including British food, and encompasses those with a travel element. Recipes and, if appropriate, the practicalities of cooking are always the main focus of books in this category.

The winner will be announced on the 22nd of this month (June 2022). Huge congratulations to Ghillie – and if you haven’t read this book, now really is the time. It is filled with travel moments and discoveries of producers and great product right across the Highlands, along with recipes to tempt!

The Guild of Food Writers Awards recognise outstanding achievement in areas where food writers work and have influence. They are awarded annually and are the only awards judged entirely by professional food writers, editors and broadcasters. The Guild Awards were inaugurated in 1996 and reflect the Guild’s commitment to encouraging new and established food writers.
