We are delighted to announce that we will be launching Jenny Lecoat’s fantastic debut novel Hedy’s War in association with Jersey Festival of Words online on Thursday 7th May at 6.30pm.

Join us @PolygonBooks on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube as we stream an exclusive video of Jenny Lecoat in conversation with Simon MacDonald from Jersey Festival of Words, followed by a Twitter Q&A and a competition giveaway.

Hedy’s War is inspired by the extraordinary true story of a young Jewish woman who fled Vienna after the Anschluss, but found herself trapped in Jersey by the German invasion of 1940. Vulnerable and in fear for her life, it tells of Hedy’s struggle to cope in a new occupied world where repression and deprivation stretched resources and islanders to breaking point. The launch is part of Jersey’s Liberation 75 celebrations which mark the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Channel Islands.
